Beautiful Wave supports sea turtle conservation efforts around the world. The film exposes real threats to sea turtles, as these creatures are massively exploited and slaughtered for illegal trade of their meat, eggs and shells.

Protection efforts for sea turtles are strengthened through SEE Turtles, a non-profit conservation tourism project of The Ocean Foundation.

The project supports communities protecting sea turtles by increasing the income needed for local conservation work and providing economic alternatives in an effort to end the threats and inspire travelers to take a more active role in their protection.
